• Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr form the Institute for Higher Learning.

1990s

1993

• Eric Lensher leaves the Institute for Higher Learning with his children.
• The X-Men are officially formed.
• Emma Frost leaves the Xavier Institute shortly after the X-Men are formed.

1994

• The island nation of Genosha is created by Eric Lensherr.

1995

• Emma Frost forms and opens the Academy of Tomorrow.

2000s

2002

• An all-human Mutant Peacekeeper Force is created in New York City by New York Senator Kelly to ensure that mutants are kept under control and that mutant criminals are safely put behind bars.

2005

• Sentinel Program is created under the development of Bolivar Trask

2006

• The Sentinel Mk I's are activated, but prove to be almost as ineffective as the Mutant Peacekeepers.

2007

• Development on the Sentinel Mk II models begin.

2008

• The Sentinel Mk II units are rolled out and replace the old Mk I models.

2009

• Early in the year, Emma Frost is forced to shut down the Academy of Tomorrow due to a violent attack by a former student which left several students dead.
• May 18th: The Xavier Institute is destroyed by a rogue Sentinel attack orchestrated by Bolivar Trask. Several students in addition to Charles Xavier and Jean Grey are killed in the sentinel attack on the school orchestrated by Bolivar Trask. A day later the Institute is abandoned and the X-Men part ways.

2010s

2010

• January: The Xavier Institute is rebuilt and the X-Men start back up again under the leadership and guidance of Wolverine. A statute is build in the courtyard to commemorate all that died during the Sentinel Attack.
